Biography: |
| Frank Verboven is a professor at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He has advised competition authorities and leading companies in general policy issues and in specific cases, including mergers, cartels and damages, and regulation cases. |

Professional affiliations: |
| Professor Verboven is currently the editor of the Journal of Industrial Economics, associate editor of the European Economic Association, and a research fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (London). He is also member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy for the European Commission. |

Research interests: |
| His main research interests are in industrial organization with applications in competition policy and regulation with a focus on empirical research. Some of his most recent research looks at the effects of the liberalization of the car distribution system, competition, entry regulation in professional services (pharmacies), and policy reform in higher education. |
