| Javier Gómez Biscarri is a Professor at the UPF and Visiting Professor at IESE. He is also director of the department of management in the School of Economics of the University of Navarra. |

| He is member of the editorial board of The Latin American Journal of Economics and is referee for the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Revista de Economía Aplicada, The Latin American Journal of Economics and the Spanish Economic Review.

Awards: |
| In 2001, Prof. Gómez Biscarri received the Hans B. Thorelli Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Theory of International Marketing for his article "Role of the Internationalization Process in the Performance of Newly Internationalizing Firms," which was published in the Journal of International Marketing. He was also awarded the UCLA Dissertation Year Fellowship (2000-2001), the Anderson School Doctoral Program Research Paper Award (1998) and the Fundación Ramón Areces Scholarship for Graduate Studies Abroad (1996-1999). |
