Paulina Beato

MSc in Competition and Market Regulation

Paulina Beato is a member of the Board of Directors and president of the audit committee of REPSOL-YPF and advisor to several institutions. She worked as an economic advisor in the Secretaria General Iberoamericana and as chief economist in the Inter-American Development Bank and International Monetary Fund. She has held senior management positions at various energy, industrial and financial companies.

Dr. Beato has published articles in specialized journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Project Finance about regulation, competition and pricing policies in infrastructure, energy and financial services.
