 Biography:

Joan Comella is currently the director of the Institut de Recerca of Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron and professor of cellular biology at the Universitat de Lleida. He has been director of the research laboratory at the University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova de Lleida. He is former director of the National Agency of Evaluation and Prospective (ANEP) of the Ministry of Education and Science and former general director of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology.
