 Biography:

Emilio Lora is a professor of electronics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 



He has been associated with the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigación Científica) since 1975 both as a member of its research staff and as a doctoral researcher associated with the Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica, of which he was scientific director.

At the CSIC he was vice-president for scientific and technical research and president of the institution from 1996 to 2004. He was president of the scientific advisory committee for the "Prestige" spill in 2002-2003.

 Professional affiliations:

Professor Lora-Tamayo is a full member of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics and Chemistry, academician of the Barcelona Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts, corresponding academician of the San Dionisio Royal Academy of Sciences of Arts and Letters in Cádiz and of the Cádiz Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery. 


 Research interests:

Microelectronics, Si technology, integrated Circuits, CMOS circuits, micro and nano-eletronic technologies, microsystems, microsensors, semiconductor devices, microchip modules
