Information Technology Resources The School provides, through the UAB and UPF, state-of-the-art IT resources with a wide range of applications to support teaching, learning and research. An extensive wireless network at both universities' facilities allows access to the Internet and email. Off campus, students will have access to their Barcelona GSE email and other network resources. Students of the programs offered at the Ciutadella campus have access to eight Macs in the computer room on the premises of the GSE building. Students can also use the computers in the library, the LeeX room (experimental economics laboratory), and three other rooms in the Roger de Lluria building. These personal computers are equipped with programs for word processing and spreadsheets, and other information resources. The library is equipped with high-quality printers, which can also be used from laptops via the WIFI network. At the beginning of the fall term students at the Ciutadella campus are encouraged to take a computational tools refresher course, which gives them an introduction to two programs, Stata and Matlab. These tools will be useful for some of the courses offered in the master as well as for doing research. Barcelona GSE also has an intranet which enables students to: - consult their course schedule
