Moving Around the City Barcelona has an excellent public transportation system: underground, buses and relatively inexpensive taxis make it easy to get around. Check out this site to find out the best way to get from one point to another. There are nine underground lines and several metropolitan lines, each identified by a number and color. The closest line to the main campus is line L4 (Yellow), and the closest station is Ciutadella-Vila Olímpica. You can purchase a ten-trip ticket (T-10) or monthly tickets for 50 trips or 30 days. This works as well for the Bellaterra Campus (2 zones). In addition, the city has implemented an environmentally friendly bicycle service designed to move quickly and easily all over town, which has become very popular with locals and especially with students. You will find stations all over the city, including two in our main campus, where you can pick up and drop off your bicycle. In order to use the service, you must register and pay a yearly fee of 24" for which you receive a card. Use of the bicycle is computed at 30 minute intervals at 0.30", with the first 30 minutes included in the yearly fee. For more details, please click here. | |
