Academic background: A little over half of the students have undergraduate degrees in Economics or Finance, while others studied Business Management, Social Sciences, or Engineering. 7 students in the class also completed an advanced degree in these fields (master or PhD) before coming to the Barcelona GSE.

Work experience: Over half of students (54%) have three or more years of work experience in chambers of commerce, research centers, banks, government treasuries, and NGOs. Others (about 21% of the class) began the master directly after completing a bachelor degree and have less then one year of work experience.

Geographic distribution of students: 94% of students come from outside of Spain. Students come from a total of 12 different countries, with the most represented being the United States (5), Italy (4), and Germany (3).
