Students enrolled: 18 Average age: 26 years old
Academic background: The unique nature of this master program is evident in the makeup of the class academic background. While 28% of the class did undergraduate work in Economics, the rest of the class is split fairly evenly among Engineering, Sciences, and Management. The majority of students do not have an advanced degree (master or PhD) before coming to the Barcelona GSE. 
Work experience: Half of the students have three or more years of work experience in biotechnology companies, consultancy firms, government agencies, and research centers. 
Geographic distribution of students: 95% of students come from outside of Spain. There are 14 countries represented among the 18 students in the class. Countries with the most students are Bolivia, Germany, India, and Mexico (2 students each).
