Welcome to the Zvi Griliches Research Summer School The Zvi Griliches Research Summer School in the Economics of Innovation promotes interactions between academic researchers, innovation policy practitioners, statistical office analysts and PhD students with a general interest in analyzing technological innovation from an economic point of view. This is achieved through the combination of compelling keynote speakers and the presentation of a selection of leading research papers. Special interest is devoted to the analysis of innovation activities in the Spanish economy, the development of new analytical and empirical tools, and the evaluation of policy tools. Keynote Speakers 2010 Dirk Czarnitzki (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) Ivan Hascic (OECD, Environment Directorate) Bruno Van Pottelsberghe (Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, U. Libre de Bruxelles) The Zvi Griliches Research Summer School is organized by the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. It will be directed by Elena Huergo (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and Isabel Busom (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). Papers will be selected by a scientific committee whose members are Bruno Cassiman (IESE Business School), Elena Huergo (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), and Isabel Busom (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).
Submissions must be based on an original piece of research, finished or in progress, covering any economic aspect of technological innovation. PhD students must include a letter from their thesis advisor. | | Deadline for Submissions:

The School’s working language is English. Accepted papers must be presented in English by the submitting author; they will be commented first by a discussant assigned by the scientific committee and then by the general audience. The Zvi Griliches Research Summer School has a cost of €180 for attendees who are not submitting papers and €120 for co-authors of submitted papers. For presenters, the organizers will waive the conference fee and provide accommodation. A limited amount of grants to cover travel expenses will be offered to PhD students.
