Todd Keister is a professor of economics at Rutgers University. He was previously an Assistant Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a professor at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and has held visiting positions at the University of Texas in Austin, the European University Institute, and NYU. He is currently an associate editor of Macroeconomic Dynamics and the Journal of Mathematical Economics. His research focuses on how to formulate and evaluate public policy to address financial fragility, banking crises and macroeconomic volatility. He received his PhD from Cornell University in 1998.
