Roberto Pascual (Ph.D. in Economics, University Carlos III, Madrid, 2001) is Associate Professor in Finance at the Business Economics Department of the University of the Balearic Islands. His research interests include Market Microstructure, Financial Econometrics, and Experimental Finance. His research has been published at international journals like Journal of Financial Markets; Journal of Banking and Finance; Quantitative Finance; Journal of Financial Econometrics; Energy Economics, or Journal of Financial Research. His research has merited awards from research and professional associations, including the de la Vega Prize of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (2004), and six best paper awards at the Finance Forum Meeting of AEFIN. He has been visiting researcher at New York University (2003), ECARES – ULB (2008), and ICF – Yale University (2012). He has been member (since 1996) and leading researcher (since 2010) of competitive research projects. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience in different areas of Financial Economics in undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs.
