Starting in 2019, the QS World University Rankings by Subject will list graduate schools along with universities offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics now appears in the QS Ranking for Economics and Econometrics.

The rankings are based on an institution's reputation in the subject area (assessed using QS’s global surveys of academics and employers) and its research impact (based on research citations per paper and h-index in the relevant subject, both retrieved from Elsevier’s Scopus database). Data from the past five years is used to determine the ranking.

The Barcelona GSE debuts on the QS Economics & Econometrics Rankings in the Top 100 institutions worldwide for this subject area.
