Antonio Penta is an economic theorist who joined UPF and the Barcelona GSE in September 2017. Prior to that, he was at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (first as an Assistant Professor, then as a tenured Associate Professor). He obtained his PhD in 2010 from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Theory. His research – which has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economic Studies, Theoretical Economics, and other – focuses on game theory, auctions, mechanism design and bounded rationality, and it involves both theoretical and experimental work.
