Piotr Zwiernik

UPF and Barcelona GSE

Piotr Zwiernik is Assistant Professor at UPF and Associate Research Professor at Barcelona GSE. Prior to this he completed his Marie Skłodowska-Curie International Research Fellowship in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Genoa and the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley.

Professor Zwiernik works on mathematical aspects of statistical models. His main research interests are: statistical inference, graphical models with hidden variables, algebraic statistics and singular learning theory.

He is Associate Editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Statistics and member of the editorial board of the Journal of Algebraic Statistics.
