The Barcelona GSE Summer Forum Workshop on Entrepreneurship will be conducted online on June 10, 2021.

Entrepreneurship is making a dramatic comeback in economics and management as a wellspring of industrial dynamism, innovation, and wealth creation. Despite early contributions by scholars such as Joseph Schumpeter, Frank Knight, or William Baumol, to name a few, entrepreneurship has recently surfaced as a full-fledged field in economics and management. Researchers, policy makers, and managers alike seek to uncover the economic incentives and personal motivations that affect entrepreneurial behavior in new ventures or established organizations; venture capitalists and corporations increasingly supply new ventures with private equity, which acts as a core driver of business dynamism and long-term growth.

Keynote speaker

Peter G. Klein (Baylor University, Hankamer School of Business; Co-Editor Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal)

We welcome empirical and theoretical submissions at the cutting edge of entrepreneurship from both experienced researchers and promising young scholars in the field.
