BSE alumni meeting in Brussels

Ten BSE alumni living and working in Brussels, Belgium met up for dinner on March 12, braving snow and ice to get together with their former classmates and colleagues.

The meeting was the fifth official reunion of BSE alumni around Europe. Previous meetings took place in the UK (London) and Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich).

What are GSE alumni doing in Brussels?

Alumni based in Brussels are working as economists, consultants and researchers at private firms such as RBB Economics and research institutions including Bruegel and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Several recent graduates are at the European Commission as interns or trainees, while other more veteran alumni are in full-time positions at the Commission's DG-Development and Cooperation and DG-Competition.

There are two BSE alumni representatives in Brussels: Nuno De Eça Guimaraes '12 and Javier Muñoz '11, both from the Master in Competition and Market Regulation. Local representatives help area alumni stay connected with the BSE and the rest of the GSE community around the world. Alumni who are interested in serving as ambassadors can contact the BSE Placement Office for more information.
