Admissions Dates and Timeline
The 2010-11 master program application period will open shortly. Students planning to apply should read carefully all of the information in this section. Students should also review the specific information available for each of the Barcelona GSE's master programs as well as the Admissions FAQ page. Suggested deadline for non-EU applicants is July 15, 2010.
The Barcelona GSE
strongly advises candidates coming from outside the European Union to submit
completed applications (including referee letters) no later than July 15, 2010. Non-EU students may not have sufficient time to secure a
student visa if they apply and are admitted after this date. Keep the following timing issues in mind if you apply after July 15:
Complete your application now The Barcelona GSE has a rolling admission policy so applications are accepted throughout the year. Application deadlines are as follows:
- Non-European students: July 15, 2010*
- European students: August 1, 2010*
*This date is subject to places available in each master program. If the total number of places in a master is covered, no more applications will be reviewed.
Even though the application period is long, we strongly encourage students to apply early to enhance their chances of acceptance.
Decision Timeline
- Once the application has been submitted and we have received the letters of reference from the student's referees, the Barcelona GSE will review all the documents and make a decision.
- Applicants can expect to receive a decision within 4 to 6 weeks of submitting a complete application.
Deferral Policy
If you have an offer for admission for this academic year, you can request to defer it until the next academic year. Please note that requesting a deferral will invalidate any financial support offer, as awards cannot be carried over from one year to the next. Applicants are only permitted to defer once. The deadline for requesting a deferral is July 15.
