“I joined the company in January 2010 and stayed three months in Madrid for theoretical training (called TK Seed campus) with other graduates recruited from all over the world. After the training I was sent to Dubai, where my main responsibilities are to guarantee and control a smooth execution of the assigned projects. Meaning, coordinate with factories, client and other departments of the company, to ensure a correct and on-time installation of our systems. But also to control and monitor all the costs and variations of the projects in order to remain within the allocated budget." Eye on Alumni Feature

Consultant

Accenture (Italy)

"After having obtained a degree in Economics and Finance, I started worked for Accenture (Financial Services) as Business Analyst in risk management and Basel II projects (especially operational risk) across Italy. In 2007 I decided to deepen my economic and financial knowledge by attending the Barcelona GSE's master program in Finance.

"This 'sabbatical year' was for me a great opportunity to extend my studies in the fields of finance, investments and business in an extremely multicultural environment and, last but not least, staying in an unforgettable city like Barcelona!

"Once I came back to Accenture, I could apply what I'd learned to several areas of my work as a professional consultant:

  • Comparison with international students has improved my soft skills during business meetings and for the organization of complex activities involving many people.
  • Financial training helped me in the analysis of specific aspects of operational, liquidity and interest rate risks.
  • Statistical methods have been useful in analyzing data and research information."
