Letter from the Director Dear Prospective Student, The changing environment of the banking industry, with the implementation, among others, of Basel II and the MIFID European Directive, brings a range of new challenges for the financial industry. There is therefore a need to train young professionals in banking and finance to confront these new issues and help organizations achieve the highest standards of risk measurement, control, and transparency. The Master in Finance is a response to these new challenges. It provides a rigorous and consistent approach to finance giving students access to the latest advances in finance and risk management. The courses will give students the fundamental tools they will require for a successful career in the finance industry, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods, as well as a rigorous foundation for the analysis of financial markets and instruments. Mastering these techniques will equip them with the necessary skills to become successful professionals providing them with the key knowledge and skills that are essential for financial institutions in their everyday management as well as for their innovation strategy, risk culture and internal management.
