Student Profile - Class of 2010
Students enrolled: 18 Average age: 26 years old
Academic background: Most students have undergraduate degrees in Economics or Finance. Others hold degrees in fields such as Banking, Management, and Mathematics. 5 students in the class also completed an advanced degree in these fields (master or PhD) before coming to the Barcelona GSE. 
PhD orientation: Many students come into the program seeking a rigorous foundation that will enable them to pursue their studies at the PhD level. Work experience: Some students have work experience as researchers or investment analysts. Others (about 33% of the class) began the master directly after completing a bachelor degree and have less then one year of work experience. 
Geographic distribution of students: 83% of students come from outside of Spain. Italy has the most students (4). The program's 15 students come from a total of 12 different countries.
